The Best of Movers Awards are SmartMoving’s annual recognition of moving companies doing exceptional work across the industry—from the way they serve customers to how they build their brands, support their communities, and move the industry forward.
Earlier this year, fewer than 250 moving companies earned a place on the 2026 Best of Movers list, selected for their quality, reputation, leadership, and impact.
From those honorees, 21 companies have been named finalists across seven Best of the Best categories.

Best Branding Finalists
What it recognizes: A moving company with a strong, recognizable brand across its trucks, website, social media, customer experience, and more.
Lucky Day Moving & Storage
State: Arizona

Pink Zebra Moving has built a brand that stands apart, with its signature pink identity and a promise, printed right on their t-shirts, to make moving fun. The brand is recognizable, consistent, and built around creating memorable “wow moments” for customers.
MOOvers Chicago

MOOvers Chicago’s brand is personal. The bull comes from founder Daniel Iordan’s grandfather, who raised cattle in Eastern Europe, giving the company an authentic family story that is nearly impossible to copy and easy to remember.

What it recognizes: Moving companies that consistently deliver exceptional service, communication, care, and a customer experience people remember.
Porter Moving Company
State: Iowa

Porter Moving Company has built its reputation around being “honest, local movers that care.” Their direct-ship approach and use of the same crew from door to door create consistency, accountability, and a more personal moving experience.

Stella has made exceptional customer service part of its identity through its motto, “We Are Movers & Friends.” Customers consistently praise the team for careful handling, strong communication, professionalism, and genuine care.
Most Innovative Finalists
What it recognizes: Moving companies finding smarter ways to operate through technology, data, new services, and a willingness to try something different.
Rose’s Daughters
State: Minnesota

Rose’s Daughters has reimagined moving for older adults by creating a complete senior move management model. Their team handles everything from downsizing and packing to floor planning, estate sales, donations, and setting up the new home.
Move 4 Less

Move 4 Less consistently tests new technology, provides feedback, and looks for new ways to improve its operation. The team has been one of SmartMoving’s most active users of TOB-E and an early adopter of new Storage Inventory capabilities.

Best Hometown Hero Finalists
What it recognizes: Moving companies making a meaningful difference in the communities they call home.
Hero Moving Hawaii
State: Hawaii

Hero Moving Hawaii has built its business around showing up for its local community. The company supports minority communities in Hawaii, including through its partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, while bringing that same care into the customer experience.
Camelback Moving

On February 22, 2026, a Camelback Moving crew recognized a 2-year-old girl from an active AMBER Alert. They acted quickly, helped prevent the suspect’s vehicle from leaving, and stayed involved until police arrived and the child was safely recovered.
Solomon & Sons Relocation Services
State: Florida

Solomon & Sons began giving back when the company had just one truck, and that commitment has grown with the business. Today, the team supports breast cancer walks, children’s hospital events, toy drives, and other recurring community programs.
Best of Canada Finalists
What it recognizes: A Canadian mover that's earned a reputation for doing right by its customers, move after move.
Hendra Moving & Storage
Province: British Columbia

Aleks Moving started with one truck and a family work ethic. More than 15 years later, the company still focuses on personal service, free in-home estimates, and firm pricing while serving customers across Ontario.

Let’s Get Moving has grown from one Toronto operation in 2010 into a moving company serving customers across Canada. Through that growth, the company has stayed focused on its original promise of honest service and no hidden fees.

What it recognizes: A western mover setting the standard for how the job should be done.
Your Neighbors Moving & Storage
State: Colorado

Owner Jonathan has put his heart into building Your Neighbors Moving & Storage and serving the Denver-area community. He remains deeply involved in the operation while continuing to grow the business and its local reputation.

The winners of all seven Best of the Best Awards will be announced live on Saturday, October 10 at the 2026 Best of Movers Awards Show, happening during SmartMoving SUMMIT at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.
