New this month
Movers tell us what slows them down, and our team gets to work. This October, that feedback turned into hourly ranges on estimates, protected dispatch holds, automations TOB-E builds for you and a new way to manage commercial work with Smart Pro.
Here's what's new in SmartMoving and how each update helps your team.
Customers want to know how long their move will take, and a single number sets an expectation that's hard to hit. With Hourly Ranges on Estimates, you can quote a realistic window instead, like 5 hours 30 minutes to 8 hours 30 minutes. Customers plan with confidence, and your crews aren't racing a promise.
You set ranges under your Estimates settings using weight or volume bands, with an offset below and above the estimated time. Not sure where to start? Apply sample load defaults based on what other movers use. Each charge shows a low and a high, the estimate you send includes an hourly range section, and you decide whether new charges get a range by default.
More movers are taking on commercial work: office relocations, designer and receiving accounts, multi-month projects with negotiated rates. Smart Pro adds Accounts, so you can manage those customers, their projects, storage, documents and billing alongside your residential moves.
Recent updates make Accounts even more useful day to day:
Workflow automations save hours of follow-up, but building rules takes time most teams don't have. Now you can describe the follow-up you want in plain words, and TOB-E creates the rule and the message for you to review before anything goes out.
TOB-E also helps you get more from Smart Dispatch. Every Smart Dispatch run is now saved as a version, so you can go back to an earlier plan in one click. And if templates, crew or trucks aren't set up yet, Smart Dispatch tells you up front and points you to the fix.
Holding a dispatch slot for a customer who hasn't booked yet only works if that slot stays protected. Now it does. With your capacity settings configured to count held jobs, holds reserve trucks and crew just like booked jobs, preventing double bookings. Holds also work on opportunities with multiple jobs. Plus, new automation options let you trigger workflows when a dispatch hold is placed.
Many of this month's updates started as a request from a mover. If something is slowing your team down, tell us. Share it with your account manager or submit it as a feature request, and we'll keep building what you need next.
